His passion for fishing and decades of expertise have led him to establish Fishing in Paradise, a charter business designed to share his knowledge and love for the sea. Whether guiding visitors to the best fishing spots or creating unforgettable experiences, Eddie ensures that every trip is an adventure to remember.
Experienced & Passionate Seafarer
Eddie Hernandez has spent over 43 years navigating the world’s oceans. From his start at 17 as a Propulsion Engineer in the U.S. Navy to becoming a USCG Licensed Chief Engineer, he has worked on supply vessels, drill ships, and offshore platforms in the oil and gas industry. His deep knowledge of the ocean and unwavering passion ensure that every trip with Fishing in Paradise is an exciting and rewarding experience.
A Commitment to Maritime Excellence & Hospitality
Beyond offshore operations, Eddie has 25+ years of commercial fishing experience in Alaska, Russia, the Pacific Northwest, and East Coast fisheries. His expertise extends to serving as Chief Engineer on the F/V Wizard, featured on Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch. Now, as a dedicated fishing guide, he combines his extensive maritime background with his love for hospitality, ensuring guests enjoy both world-class fishing and a comfortable, welcoming experience.
